Post your bikes thread

very nice Ghosteh
but dam mate those chicken strips are as big as mine :D

I know I know :(. I've not had a chance to blast it yet since getting new tires last week. My usual Wednesday blast I was scrubbing them in. Should be thrashing it later on though, hopefully I'll get em down, at least a bit lol.

Edit: Oh god just remembered you've got the busa trike :'( so realise how big they are now lol

ghosteh cant quite tellfrom the tyre tread but are those the new 021's

Would be interested in some opinions on them after they have been scrubbed in was thinking of a set for my gixxer

Here is a phone photo of my bike after I cleaned it up.

They are good tires, plenty of grip, perfectly suited to my bike, but as posted above, you should look at the Pilot Power 2CT's or something instead, definitely more suited to the GSXR etc. Mate of mine hast just got them now, done around 60 miles in em so far, said they are very good.

Having sticky tyres doesn't instantly make you a fast rider :p I personally believe that most people buy tyres much more sticky than they'll ever need, I guess its not exactly a bad thing but some people go over the top, I know a few people who will only every buy Super corsas, he has a 400 and massive 1 inch chicken strips.

I've done track days on sports tourer tyres and as long as you are smooth with the throttle they were fine.

sticky tyres would be fine for me if i was the kind of rider whos bike only ever seen a road on a summer weekend and not that other element called rain.

I ride my gixxer all year round all weathers, to and from work, blasts with *** club, trips abroad etc and id prefer a tyre that will last raher than something which will stick like superglue.

Id say the 021's will suit my riding style more than something which will last 2000miles.

if your putting 21's on a gsxr you shouldnt be on one :p

Fast Bike reader? :D

021s are ace tyres, they offer almost as much dry grip as the Sportec M1/Diablo of just a couple of years ago, and far better wet grip. I've done trackdays on diablo stradas (similiar tyre) and happily passed people on super sticky tyres who were fannying about with tyre warmers all day.

Of Course ;) Well saying that I buy almost all the bike mags lol spend at least £20 a month on them :p PB has to be the best though

Oh yea Im not doubting they are great tyres, Like all tyres are now, just you need to choose one that suits your style.
Just that imo I only want the best for my bike, and good tyres are vital, I could easily go for Supercorsas and have them ripping up but I commute and ride in the rain a hell of a lot so have to compromise, and I have my Corsa 3's to the edge of the tyre but they also heat up good enough to keep me on the road in the wet :p
I had BT014's on my GSXR when I first bought it, and had a low speed highside and a low slide on those tyres lol, swapped ASAP to the Corsa 3's and just feel so much more confident with them, they just respond and give such feel when pushing them.

I hate them 014s, just unpredictable and they don't last. Diablo Rosso looks pretty fantastic now but they're still stupidly expensive. I might give those a shot next time I buy tyres (but I've got about 15000 miles worth in the shed :D)

Yea they do look good actually, I want a spare set of Wheels for the GSXR lol, so I can swap to something with good tyre lift for commuting then to stickier tyres for the weekend :p or maybe just another bike for commuting lol *ponder*
