I suspected mine was running a little slow so ran a test. Almost 300TB!!! in NAND writes so I can see why :D

The 8TB is my downlaod drive, documents drive, photo storage drive, the OS drive is for apps, games, is my Lightroom working catalog drive (backup exports to the 88TB after every session, scratch disk drive too.

Even my old INtel 730 Skulltrail series which was 480GB had over 250TB written which was over its original design spec, yet still had over 90% health. My SSDs are only power cycled when Windows does an update, otherwise are on 24/7.

Don't have my (previously) main rig boot drive to read the info off at the moment, but I do remember that it's at around 94% after 10 years of active use. (240GB Size)

A storage drive that was used in that main rig, sits at:

97%
Total Host Writes: 17582 GB
Power On Count: 4915 Counts
Power On Hours: 33800 Hours

I had the page file and any and all alterable temporary storage folders be moved to the RAMDrive I employed on that rig, which reduced the amount of writes that were needed on the drives. Any files, etc, are stored on a NAS instead. So the drives were only ever hit by save game storage or program installations and uninstallations/repairs.

6 months and 75TB later my SSD is on its last legs health wise. Its had a a good innings over the last 4 years.

Replaced it with a juicy Samsung 980 Pro.
Didn't get the proper M2 adapter kit form dell just used some double sided tape at the end.

Used Macrium reflect to clone the drive over and was impressed how simple it was. I was a little concerned from going to SATA to NVME for the clone and compatibility, but it was all good. Made sure the Mobo firmware was upto date and it all worked and booted fine.

980p came with the latest FW V5 out of the box so that was a plus. Chucked in another ram stick making it 12GB. The dell 5580 will keep chugging on.

@Cyber-Mav

Ooopsie in regards to the Sabrent. I've only been using it the 18 months with an SN-750. Doh. Will get that sorted. Thanks.

What do you mean cdi? Edit... You mean for the raw value? Ah.

@mrk hide your serial numbers?

Wow a OCZ Vertex. That was my first SSD back in 2009. Vertex 2E 60GB at £120.

Maybe one of the oldest SSDs. 3.5” as well.

This one was in my server for just under a year as a cache drive.

How come the vertex is running so hot, for a sata ssd.

138TB writes on the MX500. Noice.

I wonder if there's anyone here that can top 300+TB...

I'm fairly certain my Ramdrive has easily went over 300TB over the last 10 years, but I'm also certain it doesn't count as a SSD of any kind (as Cap says; I(t) can do this all day :D). Even though short of some Optane drives, there's nothing remotely close to the speeds I'm getting on them. :D
