Post your dad music in this thre

What is Dad music?
Being 63 I'm quite interested.
If you say Phil Collins and Dire Straits I will hunt you down and kill you.

When I first became a Dad, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth were big in my life.

I took this thread to asking what our dads listened to when we were kids.

Edit: looks like I was wrong, going by Mags' post above, but with it being a Mag thread, you can never be too sure :p So I'm sticking with my answer below.

Dad's 72, I'm 42, child of the 80s / early 90s.

Dad liked:

Nik Kershaw
Michael Jackson
David Sanborn
Roachford
Eric Clapton
Mike and the Mechanics
Paul Simon / Graceland
Joe Jackson

Nik Kershaw and Michael Jackson would then become big favourites for me too, and also Paul Young because Dad had this weird version of Nik Kershaw's album called "Human Racing", which had 10 songs from Human Racing but it also had 4 of Paul Young's songs on the same tape. Dad didn't like the Paul Young songs but I did.
