Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Not got any pics but an encounter I had earlier tonight with a bright green Focus RS.

I flashed to let him swap lanes, pulled up next to him at the lights and he stuck his thumb up to say thanks, put my window down and told him I only let him in because I wanted to hear the engine, he laughed and gave a good rev, sounded immense. Then blasted off the lights and gave me a good listen to the engine :)

Looks lovely. Nice that you've been able to get one for the weekend.

I went into my local Landrover dealer at the end of last month to try out the new RRS as I'm looking to replace my M3 in September.
Long story short, still not really seen or been able to test drive one. They only have one available which is currently out with a customer (Excluding the unregistered AB in the showroom fitted with every bell and whistle).
Phoned again today only to be told it will be at least another week before they have it back! and the earliest build date? - February 15.
Thinking of trying another dealership tomorrow.

Pretty sure this time of year is the most active time of car buying so it's to be expected really. Pretty poor show they don't have any.

Went to the Hatfields dealership in Liverpool today, totally different to Hunters Chester.
Saw the right model of car, had a short test drive with a longer one to be arranged. Will create a thread in due course so not to go OT.

Went to dinner with another couple in East Malling last night. Just parked at the pub and climbed out of the car and heard something glorious sounding go past. Span round in time to see a red F Type coupe blasting up the road. No time to geta picture though.

Then on the way home, ended up behind a 13 plates Carrera S. That sounded pretty nice too :)

Yesterday I "encountered" dad's new car, a Discovery 4. Didn't think I'd like it, but after the day it really grew on me. Driving it was effortless, and I can now understand the love for the ZF8HP gearbox.

Think I'd still take a Range Rover over one, but it's his money and he's happy, so that's all that matters.

Excuse the "behind bars pic" but encountered this when going to look at fitted bedrooms:-

Put another few hundred on the Morgan. Colleague took it up to the PistonHeads meet this weekend, so you may have seen it:

Haven't driven the V6 S for a while, definitely prefer the V8 now. My long-term MX-5 in the back, goes back to the manufacturer on Wednesday:

Spent some time putting this 160 together:

Then into the 50th Anniversary Edition for several days. Best car/plate combo I've driven for a while:

Sublime bit of kit. Few ergonomic issues though, including clutch pedal and footrest spacing problems. I'd probably have a PDK as a result. Can't fault the rev-matching system though, works fantastically and the seven-speed gearbox is definitely slicker than that in the Corvette.

Love the interior too, just really sets it off. Averaged 31.4mpg in the end too, which is pretty good going. :)
