It’s a bespoke aluminium intensive car with proportions not constrained by engine and driveline packaging. It’s supposed to look different.

Big wheelbase and cabin forward means it’s the opposite of
It's got the big electric motor where the engine would be in a normal car, and various gubbins between the rear axle, resembling a petrol tank.

I was wondering if it's not got a engine and drive line dictating the need for a bonnet etc, then why not design something actually different. But no, it's just a regular car with an electric 'engine' in it's place.

This is clearly BS, look at how short the bonnet is and how far forward the passenger cabin is, i suggest you research before you post otherwise you look like an idiot.
 
It would be nice to push the cabin right to the front, no bonnet at all. Just have the windscreen end at the nose of the car. The sensation of speed and the visibility would be amazing. I guess it needs some kind of crumble zone though :D

But manufacturers do seem to be clinging to the traditional car shape and kind of bodging it to fit batteries in. I suppose they don't want to take risks.
