Got a bit closer to have a look, turns out it was this Lambo, and the crap look was 1.3m Swarovski crystals

Anyone know what this thing is? The shape reminds me of some old Australian touring car for some reason. Numberplate is 5700 which can't be UK surely? It's been parked in Fitzrovia for the past week or so.

? i'd expect an 8l engine to produce more than 125bhp, especially if it's for a plane?Guy who owns it said it's running an 8.2 litre v8 that originally powered an aircraft in the first world war. It now produces around 125BHP and "doesn't hang about"

100 year old engine? That must have been a very good specific output for the time. Things like tanks back then had engines twice that size with <100bhp
I'd say torque is more necessary than power for a plane, they can only go so fast and have to deal with a lack of oxygen at altitude, which is why superchargers were invented.
