A rather stunning 720S

Don't normally like Porsches but loved the first one here and sounded awesome.

The second one summed up everything I hate about some car drivers.

1. It was a classic car show and he brought a GT3 to it (turns out he was one of the sponsor's sons so he got an exemption)
2. He was young and I seriously doubt he paid for the car himself
3. He had a logo'd Porsche jacket as well. I cant stand the kind of car people who buy (or are gifted) branded clothing and feel to need to wear them when out with the car
4. He had hit the front splitter on a low bit of the road on his way to the show and it was now half hanging off and dragging on the road and didnt seem to really care. Was chatting to his mate (who came in a classic Porsche) that it would be alright as when he got back home he would just "bang some screws into it to hold it back together"
5 He appeared to have lost his front numberplate. I presume it fell off when he broke his splitter.
6. People at the show could chose to go on a 22 mile trip at lunchtime in convoy through the local villages with people waving and the convoy touting their horns. With some cars being up to 100 years old, this was a sedate slow tour taking approx an hour. He decided to join this with his GT3. He then spent the first 5 minutes overtaking every classic car and then sped off in the distance to be first back to the show ground.
/RANT OVER

Last one was interesting. Only a replica on a 250 GTO but the old guy who had done it had taken 6 years and he looks to have done a decent proper job with a Ferrari 3l engine in it although not a v12 sadly.
You sure it's a gt3 and not a standard carrera? Don't often see wheels like that on a gt3 imo. I agree about the top one (930 or 964?). I really wanted an air-cooled 911 but ended up going 996 instead as the older ones are very dated and I drove it every day so probably a bit "much".

Checking out the new 750S last night at McLaren Birmingham's launch event :) Lovely car but too colour coded on the front for me, headlight surrounds in carbon would help break it up :D

Apologies FB seems to have killed the photo quality, must remember to use other sites to throw photos up!

That thought didnt cross my mind. I just saw the GT3 badge on the rear when he pulled up. Even worse then if he is slumming it in a mocked up fake GT3..................Makes the Porsche jacket even sadder lol. I know nothing about Porsches so wouldnt be able to tell a real one from a fake one but definitely loved the first old one. Enough for me to even look them up and see they sell for around £70k in that condition. :(

Is someone on his miserable old man arc? :D
Kid isn't hurting anyone, let him crack on.

Front plate requirement is daft.

And I'm sure he is bothered about the splitter but can shrug it off with some humour, kind of thing I do. I wrapped my car around a tree when I was a teenager and my old man got really angry with me because I was so calm about it. "Well I won't do that again... At least I can fix it without too much bother." :p

At least its a proper car not a Kia Sorento thats been allowed into the show. It is a 20 year old Porker, its definitely on the fringe of becoming a classic anyway ;)

Car branded clothing is a bit sad though. Unless of course it happens to be me wearing it, in which case its very fashionable.

Did you shout joey at him :D . I'm not sure on the differences either tbh (apart from the price).

They are almost as common as a Kia Sorrento

Go to any show and there are 100s of 911s. Not just cars shows :D

I thought I was a genius doing a tailgate over the dartford crossing and when my fine came through they had front AND rear cameras :(

This morning I was going about my business when I hear some heavy rock music out the front of my house. When I looked out I saw this awesome thing sat outside.

That guy definitely snatches kids :p . With the whole front plate thing, does America not use apnr, and is the only real benefit to taking a pic of the front that you can see the driver? Thinking about it, I'd imagine in the dark it would be much easier to read the rear plate (unless the cameras use IR).
