Had a couple of hours down at Knebworth with my 3 yo. It is Petrol Hedonism which is a weird old beast; it is mainly YouTube personalities and then a few car clubs thrown in. You can also show your own car IIRC.
The 3y/o stole my phone and these are two shots she genuinely took lol.
^ I recognised this from someone on the forum, but had no idea how much of a land yacht it is. The thing was outrageously long/wide.
^ this thing was being perpetually polished. If not the car, the mirrors underneath. Has to be the most pointless 5 series auto in the world, but it is spotless if that's your thing.
And the most epic spot of the day, which was actually the first photo - a Caddy with disco wheels! Loved it for some reason, lol.
This 'rat' C3 was actually epic. The attention to detail was immense. The bloke looked like a right nutter (in a good way). The seats were epic; unfortunately my 3/yo wouldn't let me have my phone back though. It is hard to understate how "good" it looked. The bike on the roof was an epic cycle chopper too.
Had absolutely no idea how much of a land yacht this thing was either. Absolutely epic proportions.
Had no idea these bonnets lifted like a clamshell either. Kinda obvious now I know. I retrofitted Brembos from one of these (or the Peugeot 406 Coupe)
^ something looked a bit off about this. It is obviously missing key Eleanor bits which may have upset my brain
The most outrageous wing I think I've ever seen in my life.
The second most outrageous wing I've seen in my life
A car similar to this was my wallpaper ages 14-16. I hadn't really seen one in the flesh (I'm not well travelled when it comes to car shows
). Confirmed, absolute love at first sight.
This caught my eye too, despite being everything I hate on paper. Some of these "tuning" companies have really got their act together. It has definitely transcended the barry boys days.
And one of my favourites of all time, on the way out...
It is quite fun to review the photos as I normally am pretty religious about not bothering. I was drawn to cars that clearly had a tonne of really high quality work done by the owner, whether I "liked" the cars was secondary. And of course my nostalgic favourites. Also, interiors -- the Karman Ghia, Morgan and Camaro were just out of this world.
