Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera phone with me at the time, but we came across a mk1 Mondeo lying on its roof in the middle of the road tonight. The engine was still running, so Leon had to reach in to the car and turn it off. The driver was nowhere to be seen, but a bystander said she saw two blokes running off. Unlikely to have been stolen because there was a bunch of keys in it, so my guess was that the driver was drunk and didn't want to be caught. Still, pretty silly running off though because the car will be registered in your name.

He must have been absolutely flying when he did it. Hit a wall, bounced off a tree (where he left his bumper) and somehow got onto his roof.

I was just glad that we hadn't been coming along in the opposite direction a few minutes earlier, or the 200SX would have been toast!

More than likely stolen...some people will nab a car whilst it's being driven out the garage, so people give up the keys.

But then again, could be drunk and own car...either way, complete idiots....and have a camera next time ;) :p

If it was the blokes own car he might just say some one stolen it so he gets away with it

Bath trainstation? Certainly looks like it.

On related news, The Stig was spotted in a bright orange kit car round the area this week too :)

If so, I know the stig

Certainly looks like the description I heard of the car "Westifield" type thing.
Or is it a case of someone dressed like the Stig on his way to a track day LOL.

Well that photo was taken at a Sprint at Colerne, and I know the driver from the Bath & Bristol WSCC.
Reason for wearing a helmet is not necessarily track use, as in our Westfield (the green one, which is aeroscreened like the orange one) we find that above 80mph is uncomfortable with only sunglasses, and above 100mph is realistically the limit without a helmet.
(always wear eye protection with an aeroscreened car, as a bug can become a bullet!)

So for anything above 80ish a helmet is required for breathing.

Absolutely dire picture, mainly due to the fading light, two bags of shopping in my hands and it being a phone's camera. Anyway, on Stoke Sainsbury's carpark about 30 mins back. :)

Trust me, it was very nice in the 'flesh'! :)

I guess this used to be an MR2?

The chauffeur didn't lock the P switch when he got out of this and it rolled in to a wall. Not real bad damage but it's going to cost@£2k to repair, they chose not to go through the insurance as he's got a £15k excess, crikey.
