What a complete and utter plank. I genuinelly do not understand what has posessed him to do it.

That car is a 2005 530i Sport - itself a very nice car, reasonably quick, and worth over £30,000.

Quite why he has felt the need to add Alpina and V8 badges to a non Alpina 6 cylinder car is beyond me - it's not as if he needed to spice up his poverty spec 520i is it? He already has M5 looks.

Silly thing is that what did he hope to acheive? Anyone who knows what Alpina means knows he's a complete idiot, anyone who doesn't know its fake won't know what Alpina means anyway.

Plank of the highest order.

Agree with you. The car already looks very good. Like an M5. The badges on the back just look totally WRONG! :p

I would have kept the original badges tbh or no badges at all.

*BMW badge post*

I saw a new 5 series the other day with an M5 badge stuck on it. It clearly wasn't an M5 as it only had dual pipes, not quad. I honestly thought that if you had the money to buy such a car, you'd realise that anyone with any sense would know it wasn't a real M5. Clearly this wasn't an isolated case :o

:)

Pfft :p

Fake Alpina's are super-easy to spot when the car in question is a Sport - becuase they don't exist. Alpina only ever take SE specification cars - the Alpina splitters etc are all designed to fit the SE bumpers. This makes the car look more understated than BMW's M cars, as the Sport kits are almost invariably based upon the M-series vehicle in the range.

Quite why anyone would pretend they had an Alpina when the car is a Sport like the guy whose car it is I just don't know - I'd have understand a lot more had he tried to pass it off as an M5 (But he'd still have been an idiot).

There is a fake M5 running around here - beautiful looking car, but it's a Topaz Blue 525d Sport. Even still has the downturned single exhuast. Muppet..

haha i think its bmw themselves that do it......bye this ugly *** car and we will put on the sport kit to make it look like a £60K car so buy it now!!!

EVERY E60 i see has a sport kit and fancy wheels. Its EASY to spot a real M5 though just listen to it :o

Absolutely nothing wrong with Sport kits - they look fab.

It's just incorrect badging that really gets my goat :)

Nah i love the fact i get to see them everyday.....its just that i never see a non sport...so bmw must throw them on for free or something. Like how you always see poverty spec 316's and stuff.....without 3 series sport kits.Never seen a non sport 5.

Cant beat the "M 325 Tdi Motorsport" i saw ........ooh god the DTM style backbox still haunts me.

Thats becuase a non Sport 5 is so ugly, there are only three people who can make it as far as the order-desk in the dealer without breaking down in tears:

a) Chuck Norris
b) Jack Bauer
c) Robin Cook

Yum SRT/10...

Was that in Asda/Homebase's carpark???... I was in and out of there about 8 times over Sunday/Monday and never saw that!?!...

Though I did see an awfull lot of 'Plank Parking' from people on emergency runs to Homebase!... OK you've got to quickly get a new tap washer to fix that leaking tap (thats been leaking for 6 years!!)... But Please for Gods Sake... Learn how to park in ONE bay... and NOT in the TAXI PICK-UP POINT!!!...

I was struggling to find somewhere to park at one point due to these Double -Bayers!...

It was probably one of the footballer's cars. I doubt the yellow one is though.

It went and stopped like nothing else. Only let down is it didn't sound that amazing, infact it hardly made any sound (probably due to some stupid EU regs).
