Not a realistic thread, but I think it'd be nice to hear what peoples 'dream games' would be. Meaning the game you wish would happen, with no limiations (try and be realistic, though).
Mine would be a collaboration between Capcom, Bethesda & Crytek; 'Dino Crysis'. A reboot of the series 'Dino Crisis' that features the original cast (some of); Dylan, Regina & Paula.
Story: The game is set in modern Brazil. A group of terrorist's have taken numerous world leading scientists hostage through a series of strategic smash & grabs and have forced them to finish a prototype piece of technology; the Creation Kit (cookie for the reference). Using the Creation Kit, the terrorists send the entire world back to a (and this is where things get interesting) period that is a complete mash-up of the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods, with every single Dinosaur that ever existed and a strange, mutated & sporadic climate/landscape.
Gameplay/Mechanics: Bethesda & Capcom designing the game world, with Crytek coding the game engine. Bethesda designing the RPG system (as it would be a huge open world RPG) similar to the way The Elder Scrolls works (pre-Skyrim; class based with skillups through actual use). All 3 companies would obviously help one another out with manpower etc. with each given area. 3 player Co-op or single player (play alone but with a buddy system similar to Far Cry 2). TONS of Dinosaurs, moreso than even Dino Crisis had, this would take advantage of the Crysis copied FPS core mechanics.
Characters/Classes:
Dylan - Warrior/Tank archetype - heavy bullet weapons, lots of HP & brutal 'enemy control' (the ability to pin down/easily stagger all but the biggest Dinosaurs). Dylan is revamped, even bigger and physically imposing than his old self.
Regina - Rogue/Stealth archetype - fast firing weak weapons, extremely high melee damage but poor 'enemy control', the usual stealth mechanics, high critical hits & very fast movement + climbing speed. Regina is more or less the same.
Paula - Mage/Technology (or Engineer) archetype - the use of explosives for big AoE, ability to very efficiently self-heal herself and others, can cast buff's known as 'Lore commands' in which her research of Dinosaurs comes to use, as she shouts out weak spots or attack traits of the Dinosaurs on screen to increase crit chance, defence etc. Looks-wise she is more or less the same, but her background changed greatly.
