IE 5.5? *rubs eyes* *checks post date* Surely this can't render most website's properly these days? Have you not tried the alternatives like Opera, Firefox and Chrome? At least they won't be a massive security risk like IE 5.5 will be.

Tools
- Fox It Reader.. why-oh-why need Adobe Acrobat (200MB+) just to open PDF's?

The last time I checked Adobe Reader was 35.7MB which included Adobe Air (really, really good framework IMHO) - You don't need the full blown Adobe Acrobat to read PDF's. I find version 9.1 to be as good, if not better than Foxit... and it doesn't try to force Ask toolbars on me or set my web page to Ask.com.

Anyway, on to my list:

Opera (Just converted to Opera from Firefox and it's quite nice)
Winamp
Google Mail (Not strictly an app but it's available offline via Gears)
Photoshop CS4
Illustrator CS4
Lightroom v2
FileZilla
Dropbox
7-Zip
VLC
NOD32 v3 (v4 causes no end of trouble for me)
SABnzbd+
uTorrent
Steam + Games
mIRC
Skype
Windows Live Messenger
DestroyTwitter

That's about it :)

Well...

Hi Kona (btw, are you from Hawaii? Kona = Hawaiian name and I'm nuts about Hawaii!)

Anyway, yeah I know that IE5.5 is getting on now but I am largely a Firefox nut anyway. When I do my web design, I make sure that my pages will read okay on the older browser. I just never liked IE 6, 7 or 8. I liked IE 4 and 5 because of the changes and integration it put into Windows (most people hated that though), but I never use IE as an online browser. Leave the online to FF 3.5.

As for Fox It and the forcing of their Ask toolbar, I just use the portable version. Just run it off a stick regardless of computer.
