add a few degrees as i've temporarily disabled my oc :cool:
 
My PII x4 955 @3.8ghz is idle at 32c underload 45c max, it was running idle at 27c before the recent change in temps very happy indeed with it
 
Changed my case from a Coolermaster Elite to a Fractal Design Define R2 and my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 to a Noctua DH14 and idle temps have dropped by about 5 degrees, load temps have dropped by over 20 degrees!

Was hitting 81 degree @ 2.66 on the Freezer 7 running Prime 95 now I'm getting load temps of 59 max @ 3.6.

what!! 40c water cooled !!!!! my Q6600 @ 3.6 (1.30v) is 36c on air but i have few more fans & C690 case.

@ C64 yeb i've already changed the jmax in everest from 100 to 90 which is right for my Q6600.

I take it everyone has checked their tjmax/offset settings in coretemp and hwmonitor ? in coretemp it's in settings / offset and in hw it's in hwmonitorw.ini

I would bump it up at least +5 to get a more accurate representation I have set my E6420 to 90 tjmax instead of the default 85.
Idling at 30c now seems a bit more realistic than my usual 20-25.

aye but 3 x 80 mm fans at 5v are silent but blow so little air you could say its passive :D got some 120mm's on the way from the members market :) hopefully il be able to rig a baybus or something up for some 5v, 7v and 12v action

you must have a bettter chip than mine :( i need a fair bit more vcore to get 3.6 prob why your temps are low as well
