Ive been tempted to try a everglide titan mat, seem quite good.
I think they are very similar to an eyepad but cost a lot more, the eye pads are OEM so can be had for like £6 in a plastic bag, the Titans come in a cardboard tube and cost like £16. They lay perfectly flat on the desk and grip it so its just like using the desk but smooth as silk. They are also washable with soapy water and a sponge, so all them biscuit crumbs dont tarnish the looks :) .

I've used my desk up to now, and toyed with getting a mousemat before, but i think i'll take the plunge :D

Always felt a bit restricted by mousemats (though i never had a decent sized one to be fair) and i had thought about one of those massive Qpads. However, experimenting on my desk now i noticed i wasn't using a fraction of the size it would take up. Not even near the size of a Steelpad...

Shame to waste a great mouse like the MX510, I think i'm sold on an S&S :p
