I like Boxers :) But my siamese cat doesn't. She's sitting on my lap making it hard for me to type, but she's purring and she's so happy it would be rude to throw her off.

My little girl!

Heres my girl, was a pup here, still a pup at 2years, likes to sleep a lot!

After just walking to the garage, I can see on the garden (paw prints in the snow) where about 3 or 4 cats are passing through my garden, i dont mind it but they like to crap in the soil and on the grass, now I have my niece coming round, I dont want these cats even coming in my garden.

Whats the best steps to scare cats from passing through without waitng at night and picking them off with a BB gun.

The only thing cats hate is the thought of a bigger cat next door, so lions poo works a treat(im not talking it either, its true!) Either go to your local zoo, or go to a garden shop type place and by essence of lions dung pellets, Spread them around where they enter your garden and soon ull have not cats and no poo and the lawn.

I miss my dog holly the golden retriever who died a few years back while i was on holiday in turkey.

Failing the lions poo, the pointed pellets work best ;)

Irish Red? Beautiful looking dogs, my granny had one when i was quite young. Unfortunately it was a rescue dog and they got it about 4 years in and it had suffered some horrible amounts of abuse and was just wild when they got it. Only person who could control it was my grandad, and when he passed away he turned vicious and had to be put down :(

Oh no, dog from hell.
I had one of these and apparently Golden Cocker Spaniels have got something wrong with them (so I was told by a few).
We couldn't train her to poo outside and we had to get rid of her when she snapped at out 2 year old and bit a couple of kids.
She did give amazing loves and cuddles though.
I hope you have better luck.

My dog has one of those ducks :)
Nice dog you got there :)

I love dogs. Can't wait to get my own when i move out.

Red Setter or Irish setter, called Poppy. Best thing I ever did was get her - keeps me fit chasing her when she makes a bid for freedom (towards the pub!) :D

I'm glad to see some of the other boxer owners posting. I've just hoaked out some pics of some of our other boxers.

This was Fred, our first dog. The vets always told us he was the biggest boxer to ever come through their doors and that he was more like a Saint bernard despite his pedigree. He had to be put to sleep a few months after this with cancer aged 9. (As you can see he already had an ear flap removed due to tumours) RIP big freddy.

This was Rufus, our second dog and is the pup of the boxer I posted further up this thread. He was quite a live wire (like most boxers) but sadly he also had to be put to sleep with cancer this time last year aged 2. RIP Ru.

Finally this was Fern, the dog we got as a friend for our current boxer after Rufus got put to sleep. Sadly they just didn't get along (explained by the blood beside her nose!) and so she had to go back as we couldn't keep them separated. She was a fantastic dog while we had her.

Any of the boxer owners here have them around babies? My sister's baby is due in a few weeks time and since the baby'll be spending a lot of time here any tips on helping Benson adjust would be appreciated. He is good with Children and babies in general but I'm a bit worried he'll feel a bit left out of it while my parents go dotty with their first grandkid.

Oh and one more pic of my brain damaged hound, playing dead!

Ours have been around a few babies but not for a long period of time. They seem to be fine as long as you pay them lots of attention but the boxer will always do something to get your attention anyway. Just be careful that you don't make him feel jelous as this can be easily done and he may snap at the baby to show that he's boss and that he should be getting the attention. Also don't be surprised if he gets a bit agressive with people in the family as it's his natural instinct to protect and he will protect a baby more than you'd think.

My sisters friend has a grandson who stays over regularly at her house with their boxer and dog and baby are best friends. The kid has grown up with the dog and now he's beginning to read, he reads him bed time stories! :p

LOL, clever dog, reading! All mine will do is wake, walk, watch TV (hates channel 5 for some reason!), eat and sleep!
