Christ, people have slower internet than me! :ekk:

I'll be e-mailing BT regarding the fiber cabinet we should have had 2 years ago in our area, useda friends PC who has 80/20 fiber and now my 20Mb connection feels as slow as a slug.

Hi,
Just moved from Xilo (TalkTalk LLU) ADSL2+ ;

To Plusnet Unlimited Fibre 80/20;

I'm about 250-300m from the cab (direct, this is route the cable takes...100%!), is this the max i can expect? And any ideas if this will be at the max sync (80/20)?

I have the HG612 but its locked and i dont want to flash it just yet! :D

You'll never see an actual 80/20 due to overheads. I didn't think any ISPs were still selling it as a 80/20 service, e.g. Plusnet sell it as 76Mbit.

You currently have more-or-less the maximum you can expect. If you care then get that modem flashed and see what the attainable rates actually are.

OK cheers, i might buy another HG612 and flash it....but tbh i'm not overly bothered, BT were quoting 66mb-80mb on their checker so it seems its at the higher end.

What is the max d/l and u/l speed you can get assuming you are synced at 80/20 or above?
