I did have a more subtle pair of arnettes but I broke em. I have a habit of breaking sunglasses this is my third pair of Oakleys now, also managed to snap a pair of ray bans as well.

Never understood Oakleys. If you're not playing golf, cycling or something similar then why on earth would you possibly choose them?

Lots of reasons I suppose. As a whole they're generally pretty robust as I said earlier I have a knack for breaking sunglasses and the ones above are pretty bendy so all good on that front. The other Oakley's I have broken are more of the normal less sporty sort, not designed to be bashed about and fallen asleep in.

I love the lenses on Oakleys too especially this pair, yet to find another pair to match them for how they block out light. Plus they are quite wide, I hate the sneaky bit of light that sneaks in the corners sometimes. They fit much more securely on my head than any other glasses and are much more comfortable than anything else I have tried.

Personal taste plays a part too, now I hate aviators myself as they don't suit me but on others it's another matter. I will agree they aren't terribly subtle which is normally why I have 2 pairs, the lairy pair that I prefer to wear if appearance doesn't matter e.g driving and a more "civilised" pair for the occasions where bright red glasses aren't appropriate. Just at the moment I don't have enough money to replace my broken Arnette's which were my "civilised" pair.

Me Juliets X-Metal Tatniums with Idium (sp?) lenses....currently with Okaley for a servicing as the rubber gubbins in the bridge wear out after a few years.

Oakley Flak-Jacket , Rootbeer frame with Polarised Gold Iridium lenses, pic to follow as the ones on the net dont show them properly.

Not posted in ages so here's a chance for a laugh at my expense.
