Dont know if regarded as a compet so heres the quote:

» Postal 3 Officially AnnouncedIt's not exactly a huge shock but "ahem?" does have the official word directly from Running With Scissors head man Vince Desi that Postal 3, the next game in their controversial PC action game series, is in the works. According to what Desi told us today in a brief phone interview, the game will be developed for both the Xbox 360 and PC and will use Valve's Source engine as its basis (Postal 2 used Epic's Unreal Engine 2). Desi also told us that Running With Scissors is teaming up with Russia based Akella who will help Running With Scissors develop and publish the game. However, the game itself is still early in production; Desi told us that the game is currently targeted for a mid to late 2008 release. Desi wouldn't reveal much about Postal 3's game play except that it will continue and expand upon Postal 2's open world design. Desi also told us that they will be taking fan feedback to heart for Portal 3. "A lot of things went undiscovered in Postal 2," Desi told us. In order to help players discover how much content there will be in Postal 3, the game will have what he is calling a series of training missions that will inform players on the many different options in the full open world portion of the game.

While we may have to wait a while for Postal 3's release, Desi did tell us that there will be some new Postal product coming down the pike this year. One is a music CD which will have songs inspired by the Postal series. The other is a new collection of all the previous Postal games called the Postal Fudge Pack which Desi told us will have a few new extras as well.

One thing i can say is "OOOOH YEAH" :D

Like what? All I cared about was shooting cats up their behinds! :D

Haha, yeah what a great game. Looking forward to postal 3! Thanks for the info. :D

was it just me that thought it was a big pile of ****??

It took an age to load between areas even with a high spec PC, graphics = appauling. It was fun to start with but the novelty really wore off fast.

If the best part of a game is that you can wee on people its pretty lacking in depth, it reminded me of the South park game where you pee'd on snowballs!

It had the potential to be great, but it really wasnt!

No you're not.

Not me personally though :p I loved it. It's so sick and twisted it's funny.

This game is like marmite.
People absolutly despise it.
Other people have a blast and love it to bits :D

Never really heared someone say "mmm it was ok but"

Spent a good few hours just setting the WHOLE place on fire and cashing my sisters pc (mine couldnt cope with it xD)

Oh me and my bro-in-law found it funny as we are both sick and twisted too, however, once the novelty of setting people on fire and making them puke wore off there just wasnt enough there for me to carry on.

It is the only game i can say i own that has appeared in a music video though, anyone else know which one?

One of the patches added a terrorist hideout, had a real blast going through it and finding the 'WMD' at the end :p Curiously all the terrorists looked like Osama Bin Laden

Very good game, sadly misunderstood by many people. Its not all about kicking people's heads around, setting people on fire, etc. Thats like saying GTA is all about driving around shooting people. There are missions, and the various groups do cross-over with storylines (somewhat). Concluding with what could only be considered an apocalypse at the end :p

Black Eyed Pea's - Where is the Love

I never got if it was in the music video as a bad thing or as a cool/ comedy thing. Ironicly the kid playing it looked about 8.

I'll be honest here, whilst I'm not disappointed (how could I be?) about the 3rd game, I am disappointed that they have opted for the Source engine instead of the Unreal 3 engine :(.

YES YES YES!!!!!!

"Running With Scissors, creators of the Postal franchise, are breaking new ground as they've announced that the next installment, Postal III, wil use the Source engine and will come to the XBox 360.

Currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PC systems, POSTAL III will employ the Source engine (the same technology Valve created to drive Half-Life 2) to deliver a new and advanced technical level of social satire and politically incorrect virtual violence.

POSTAL III will include motion-captured performances by a wide array of celebrities – from film stars to Playboy Playmates – as well as a storyline that offers gamers vast latitude in terms of their behavior. We've always maintained since publishing the original POSTAL that the game is only as violent as the player wants it to be and we're committed to expanding this unique form of gameplay in this next addition to the ongoing storyline, RWS CEO Vince Desi vowed.

The player will once again be cast as the nameless Postal Dude, the star of all previous versions of the game, including POSTAL 2: Share The Pain and POSTAL 2: Apocalypse Weekend. POSTAL III is scheduled for release some time in 2008."

Absolutely loved Postal 2 and the 2 expansion packs (although Apocalypse Weekend was a bit strange to say the least).

Provided hours of entertainment and is one of the games where I still play no matter how many times I have completed it.
