Hey all!

I've just posted three packages in my local postbox and I've gotten home to realise I've posted them without a stamp on them...

According to the postbox, they pick up at 5:15PM...

I'm tempted to hang around the postbox and wait for the postie and beg him to let me throw a stamp on them - What are the chances? :p

Otherwise, I think the recipient gets a card through the door asking them to pick it up at the local post office? Anyone been in this situation?

Thanks,
Marky

I had one of those cards in the past, they charged a quid or so on top of the amount that wasn't paid for postage.

I'd tried to catch the postie, can't see them having an issue if you're just wanting to add stamps.

the recipient will be asked to pay for it,
they might refuse not knowing what it is.
your postman probably pulls out a large bag he might not want to rummage inside but if its mostly empty you never know

aye, the recipient will get a card saying there is mail at the delivery office waiting to be collected and a fee is due. Depends on the mood of the postie doing the collection I suppose - not sure how accurate these pick up times are though.

postbox outside my house suggests -/+ 10 minutes

OK Cool, thanks for your posts :)

I'm going to stomp down there now and plea with the postie, but if that fails I guess it's a trip to the post office for my recipients >_>'

Hopefully none of your recipients have a young child at home.

I had a company send me out a flyer in a large letter but only put one stamp on.

So I got a card through the door saying I needed to pay charges.

Went down thinking what the hell have I been sent. Paid the extra postage and then a fee on top (£1.85 I think, was years back) anyway. Got this large letter, opened it up and got a flyer.....

Very annoyed

BUPA once sent my renewal documentation without enough postage on it as well.

If you receive post where the stamp hasn't been inked over can you peel off the stamp and re-use it?

I'm getting a lot of post recently where the stamp hasn't been inked and it's tempting to save them. :P
