If you receive post where the stamp hasn't been inked over can you peel off the stamp and re-use it?

I'm getting a lot of post recently where the stamp hasn't been inked and it's tempting to save them.

I do it all the time.

I've gone as far to cut around the old. One and double side tape to to a new letter.

Never had an issue lol

That's good to know, I've two 2nd class stamps and a 1st Large that I've successfully peeled off. I'll use them with a pritt stick.

If anything it saves me going to PO for a stamp next time I need to post something not just about the money.

I did that a lot in the past just carefully pulling them off and glueing them to another envelope

I think they're supposed to tear with all the jagged edges but I never had an issue
