Doesn't seem to be Cat D or anything, that's a hell of a lot of car for £6 grand!!!

Will it break?

Potential money pit more like. Potential to throw massive bills if something breaks, its 10 years old and a very expensive top of the range Mercedes when new and its done a few miles too. Its no Mondeo but a Mondeo list price. Expect to pay a hell of a lot of ££ in the ownership.

It is going to cost astronomical amounts of money to keep going. It doesn't look like it has any rust in the photos but it won't be far away. ABC is a time bomb waiting to cost you upwards of £2k. The engines are OK but there are things that go (like the coil packs) that cost the earth to sort. Servicing is quite expensive. Tyres are insane for the rears too.

Once you factored all of that in you'd be better off spending the (considerable) maintenance budget you'd need to get you into a W221.

Beautiful car though! I miss my S a lot (but not the bills!)

If I could insure it I'd have a punt on it. Got to be worth quite a bit even sold for spares/repairs, and I'd be able to say I'd owned a V12 :D

Remapped they are monstrously fast, but you only need to read this thread to see why that car will struggle to sell even for buttons :(

"Selling due to health issues". Think I would probably have a heart condition with the running costs it would have. Shame, the spec is immense.

Bargain? - Given the running cost potential, no!

Will it break? - Yes!

What a car though! Lost in no mans land.....

I wouldn't say so, too many specialist parts unique to this vehicle & few rolled off the production line making those parts extremely £££.

I'd rather have a normal S500, it's most of the s600 with much cheaper potential bills
