Potential fun for OcUK beer drinkers...

Well Kwerk might have an advantage for American beers, but apparently this could even help us get healthier (if you do the exercise part beyong lifting pint weights as far as mouth level)

You don't even have to exercise, it's called the "French Paradox". You only get a benefit from a low dose though like 1 beer a day.

I was half joking with that thread tbh, I do actually feel a boost but I don't think the science would fully support it as a workout drink, except for making the workout less boring.

But for general health the science definitely supports moderate drinking. All kinds of "poisons" are actually beneficial at low doses, even radiation and heavy metals. That's one theory of how polypheonols/anti-oxidants (plant chemicals) are good for you - they are actually natural pesticides the plant produces to protect itself from predators so technically they are poisons. But when humans eat them it excites a mild stress response that makes your cells function better to protect themselves from other stresses.

check this out for example :D

Drinking beer reduces radiation-induced chromosome aberrations in human lymphocytes.

Clov!s sorry mate I can't take any american entries now as everyone that sent theirs have been posted. Don't worry plenty of time to catch up easy! Belgium next week.

As requested I've created a new thread (as I'll do each week) just to post the results for that week. Makes it easier for people to find :)
