Potential new slr purchase

Hi all,

We currently have a Canon 350d which we have been very happy with.

Another couple we were speaking with whilst on hols have just got a Canon 650d, and we were really rather impressed with it.

Considering a potential purchase in kuala lumpor on the way back home, but I'm struggling to find a price for a 650d anywhere so we can compare prices in the airport.

Am I being retarded trying to find a price, or are they in limited supply ?

Regardless, thread still has use. Anyone here bought a camera overseas and know if the warranty can still be honoured in the uk? Would also be good to know a good target price

i dont think the body warraty is an international one. i know canon lenses are. If i am not mistaken, malaysia is not overly cheap for eleectricals from what i recall when i went to see my parents there.

60D body can be had for £738.

i brought the 60D body only at Heathrow Duty free in october, for £620

I have seen the 60D + kit lens for about £670.

There are significantly lower prices around, but they will probably be grey imports. So long as the buyer is aware of that then that's fine.

I thought kl might have been a bit like hk with regards to electrical items. Will keep an eye out and go from there. Cheers for an idea on prices
