Pots and pans - change from prestige?

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace a frying pan or two as they've lasted the best part of 10yrs and some of the non stick coating has started to come off (blame me using a fork when scraping egg into the centre of the pan when making an omelette)
One pot is looking a little worse for wear as well but might just need a better scrub next time it gets used

I've seen a lot of comments for the procook range of pots and pans but wondered if anyone's made the switch from prestige to procook and how the two compare? Should I make the switch or just stick with what I know?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'll be taking a better look at the procook stuff later on.
I only picked the prestige stuff originally cos that's the brand my folks used so with their pots and pans range they've got a good heavy base for heat distribution during cooking. If I remember correctly I've already replaced like for like with my large frying pan but as a stop gap I bought a similar pan from the coop but it was thin and light and generally terrible.

I think all you need is a stainless steel pan, cast iron casserole and cast iron skillet and you’re pretty much covered right across the board. Copper pots and pans would be ideal as well.

Probably get slated but bought the Tefal Unlimited ON range about 8 months ago and couldn't be happier. Very pleasingly heavy duty so hold heat well, love the high rims, non stick holding up fine so far and is supposedly anti scratch and lasts 6x longer compared to the standard coating.

Have to agree with Raymond.

We have had Meyer Circulon Induction pans for years -they are good but we now find them heavy -We also have a set of German SS pans which came with the Induction hob but it didn't have a small pan with handle so went to Wilko and bought a SS small pan for £14.

I have to say I can't fault it - base is flat and thick and cooks stuff great -When we dump the Meyer pans we will look for lightweight SS pans.
