power colour 6990 faulty ?

hi im running a power colour 6990 with a i7 950 and im getting vey low benchmarks on heaven dx11 around 1070 points 40 fps. im set in bios 2 is this card faulty ?

p.s im a noob so go easy on me

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Are you running the benchmark in full screen?

You need to do that for CrossFire to work.

Test using the settings in this thread making sure to use full screen mode.

You should be looking at ~2100 points.

Likewise you need to play games in full screen for CrossFire to work.

phew!! thanks for that i thought id bought a dud 1999 and 79.4 fps with those settings thanks for the quick response

A score of 1999 is OK for a HD 6990.

And remember to play your games in full screen for CrossFire to work.

Also install the latest AMD drivers and CAP profiles.

The CAP profiles mostly add or improve CrossFire support.

Click on your operating system under "AMD Radeon™ Desktop Video Card Drivers" on this page.

You'll find the latest drivers and Catalyst Application Profiles (CAP) to download and install.

As I said, the CAP's mostly improve CrossFire support or add CrossFire support for the latest games.

So at the moment you would install the 11.11 drivers and then the 11.11 CAP2.

AMD usually release new drivers every month which are named after the year and the month. The next drivers should be 11.12 some time in December.

In between new driver releases CAP's are added for the latest CrossFire support.
