Power connectors to a 3070?

I'm considering getting an RTX3070 when stock levels (and prices) aren't so ****.

However i'd rather not get a new PSU, i have a Corsair 750w at the moment however it only has multiple 6 pin GPU connectors & i believe the RTX has an 8pin?

Can I use some kind of adapter?

What PSU is it? Are you sure it doesn't have 6+2? It would have to be way old not to.

Not sure if you can convert 6 pin to 8 pin, may not be advisable with Ampere, although you have enough watts.

It's a Corsair PSU, CX750 I think, it does have multiple 6 pin connectors, either 2 or 4, unsure without pulling the case out from where it resides & taking the side off.

EDIT - Ok, i think my problem is solved, it appears the 6pin connectors have another 2 pin part attached, i presume this is the 8pins I need on the 3070?

That will have 6+2 connectors so will be fine. Just use 2 different power cables for the GPU.
