Morning all,

Have a problem I'm hoping you can help me with.

PC Spec:

i7 920 D0
GA X58 USB3
670
2 SSD & 1 Normal HDD
Samsung Green RAM
Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 750W

Over the past year or so, when I've gone away on holiday, I've turned my PC off, and it was sometimes a bit stubborn to turn back on.

Now that I've moved house I need to turn the PC on & off each day and it's become even more of an nuisance.

The only way I find of being able to get it going is by taking out all the connections from the PSU and disconnecting the mobo power, then redoing all the connections again; yet sometimes this will take ages as it won't start first time. Which means taking it apart and retrying over and over again, for it to finally start into life.

I've done the paper clip test on the PSU (passed) and tried the screwdriver test with the PWR SW out and the power cable to the mobo in (didn't work)

Would it be a mobo battery issue?

Tried looking for different solutions but nothing has cured it yet.

How old is your PSU and PC case?

It seemed PSU worked fine but the power cable probably gone bad and both power cable and power switch cable need to replace for new cables.

PSU should be fine. No need to replace the cables. Sounds like it is a connection problem. If it was the CMOS battery it would have warned you when you booted the pc up.

OK, taken Cpu out now and the fan headers seem fine as they start the fans fine, so it isn't the cpu header.

When turning the mobo on, the lights turn on but a few seconds later, it turns off and lights go out and fans turn off. No beeps. RAM is still in
