hi guys

just wondering what can i get for my tower pc that is like a battery pack incase i have a power cut and my computer wont lose anything.

You have to be lot more precise about parts of your PC for being able to size UPS correctly.

sorry mate
to be honest all i want is a power-supply just to hibernate my pc or something so i have the chance to put power back on, but my pc is

Intel Quad core 2.66ghz (q8400 i think)
4 GB DDR2 ram XMS2
7900 GTX 512mb
1x 150gb raptor drive, 1x 1.5tb WD Caviar Green, 1x 500gb WD, 1x 320gb maxtor

my power supply atm is 600watts i believe or 650 not to sure after last powercut windows wont load so going from my knowlegde
hope this helps

Take a look into UPS, (Uninteruptable Power Supplies)

thank you
been looking into these before hand any type you would recommend they get mixed reviews on-line and i am a noob at these sorts of things i sure i think if reading the same think over and over will make me more wise,

I can't actually reccomend one myself, as I've never actually needed to use one.
Theres mixed reviews on almost every product out there, you just have to scout for a one that suits your needs only!

In this case it would be one which supplies sufficient power for your PC while it hibernates or does whatever it needs to first.

Just do a lot of research and you won't end up disappointed, it's my only advice on buying one.
