Hi every one I am new to this forum, just built a new pc and getting an intermittent Power kernel 41 error. The pc will hang/freeze intermittently every couple days during normally low cpu load conditions. Tried re-seating video card, memory and power connectors.

My setup

Inno3d rtx3060 dual oc bought from over clockers
amd ryzen 5 5600
Adata XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 1TB SSD
Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB 3600MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Kit
Gigabyte B550I AORUS Pro AX Motherboard
Corsair SF Series SF600 600W 80 PLUS Platinum Fully Modular PSU Power Supply

Would be greatful if there's any pointers you can advise!!!

Thank you

Apparently this is related to improper shutdowns.

Some potential fixes:

Update your drivers
Disable duplicate audio drivers
Uninstall your antivirus
Change your power settings
Turn off Fast Startup
Update your BIOS
Check your hardware
Uninstall recent updates
Disable Auto-restart in the Advanced System settings

Seems software rather than hardware related ['kernel' being the clue, one would imagine].

Thanks for your timely response @Lysander, system hang is concerning me will need to do some checks, which are outlined in the link you replied and I may also do a clean install of windows.

Some pointers for me to check thanks again!!

@mickyflinn Already updated the motherboard to f13 latest bios revision, keeping eye out on any updates and gonna run a memory test.

My friend said to me to get a mains surge protector, bought a belkin one , plugged it in was using the pc for a few hours that night and heard a pop the main fuse box tripped to the socket the PC was connected. Reset the trip switch and powered everything back up and still worked ok so I have 1 eye on the PSU.

Are you getting any WHEA errors in event viewer?

To rule out the CPU I'd set all core clocks to 4400mhz and vcore to 1.3, if this stops the crashes then I'd RMA the CPU to AMD.

Hi @Joxeon

Will check the event viewer and try the cpu settings the crashes are fairly infrequent but rather fix the issue!!
I can reproduce those sort of crashes / reboots when being too aggressive with the curve optimizer but if it's happening at stock then it could be a faulty CPU so the only option maybe to RMA.
