power led on case stays lit after shutdown

Hi, my power led stays lit even after i shut my computer down, although it flickers. When i switch it back on it stops flickering and gets brighter. Why would the ligth stay on even when my computer is shut down? is there a fix for this? I have tried the header connecters both ways so they arnt the wrong way round?

what motherboard?

And what are the settings on? it could be going into something like hibernate rather than true shut down.

Do the Fans and disks power off?

My ASUS P5W DH does this. Mobo light stays on for a few seconds after power off (PSU switch power off not shutdown). Guess it means there is still charge there and so you shouldnt touch anything.
