hi guys. Ive just finished building my new pc, its in a CM HAF case.
But heres my problem.
My psu is 1050W, i have the following pluged in:
mobo, 2 hdds, ati hd 4850, 4gb reaper ram, creative sound card, green light, heatsink fan, front case fan, top fan, rear fan.
BUT when i try plugging the side fan in it wont turn on, the lights flash on as it trys to start but cuts out right away.
Is my psu not powerful enough
Confused.

I wouldnt think its the PSU mate. A 1Kw PSU is major overkill for your system so power wont be the problem. Have you tried testing the fan on another connection?

PSU more than enough, you don't have a loose connection anywere else, just shows it's self when the fan is plugged in.

WOO, its all done at last.

Happy times.

My old pc used to heat up my room something fierce, but now its the opposite, this is kicking out sooo much cold air its untrue!

Congrats despotofmidnor it seems it was worth the impromtu train journey and skating to get the cable then? ;) (how long did it actually take and how much did it cost, includung train fare, to get the cable?)

Enjoy, it looks a solid spec.

set off at 12, got train at 12.18, got there 12.40. Got to ocuk by 1.20, left at 1.50, (very busy in there) got train at 2.30, in macc at 3 back by 3.30.
Long and tiring day lol.
Also has anyone bin to the store itself befor?? Sooooo hard to find.
Only cost £4.90 train, so basicly postage minus the wait till wednesday

Im happy with the specs for the price too, def worth building from scratch.

I plan of replacing the red leds in the front with green ones (got all the bits and solder etc, just need hot glue gun off gf to put leds back in)

Then im gona get a pink/purple light or bits of stuff to go in the case and green lit periferals (Saitek Cyborg keyboard). Going for an Invader Zim theme with the colours. Also i realy like the shiney HAf logo on the side of the case to, so im gona stencil some irkin symbols on the case and an image and spray them with gloss varnish so they go the same as the logo.
And im gona mill a logo from metal at uni for the front insted of the coolermaster logo.

big plans, for me any way.

Thats a nice pc there
liking the green
gj mate :)

*EDIT* is that the artic cooling freezer x or w/e its called youve got on there?

Thanks :-)
Only problem is its TOO cold lol, my old pc kicked out so much heat ive not had my radiator on for the past few years, now im sat with a jumper on lol.
Its also suprisingly quiet, the lower rpm on the big fans realy makes a difference.
