Antec LCD Multimedia Front Panel
Running Windows 7 Professional

I built it back in October/November where I had a few problems including one of the Antec LCD FP wires was in the wrong place and it smoked. I had a guy come in and replace the wire and all seemed fine.

Before that problem however there were still 6 post beeps which to this day still occur. After looking through BG’s manual I found it probably meant there was a power problem. The computer worked fine but there were/are these beeps.

Recently the situations getting weird, the usb at the front of the case is now sparking if anything is put in/near it then crashes the PC instantly. There’s still power travelling through the PC since the multimedia front panel briefly goes dark and then is re-lit. Any ideas folks?

Have you checked for any shorts in your case? Your motherboard could be shorting on the case somehow, this usually causes errors/ beeps as well.

It's probably the most common problem in new builds. It would also explain the beeping to indicate power problem, as it's probably being drained into the case.

You could also use a multi meter to test the 3V, 5V and 12V rails of one of the power supply molex, if you're not getting anywhere near the correct voltages, I recommend replacing your power supply...
