Hi,

I've just built a new mini-ITX system using my existing Enermax 600W PSU. The system runs and I've managed to install windows 7 however I did noticed that both fans on the PSU dont seem to be spinning at all. Should I ditch it and get a new PSU required? (it is approx 6+ years old)?

Also any recommendations on a replacement :)

Cheers

It may be the case the fan only comes on when needed.

Does the PSU feel hot to touch and check reviews of your product if possible.

Some psu's have fans that only spin up under load.. Try priming your system (if you think the temps will stay in a decent temp range) and the psu should spin up then.. If its still working.

thanks for the responses!

I think ill play it safe and buy a new one. CAn anyone recommend a replacement? Running a i5 3570K in a Lian Li Q08 case

Thanks
