So after bitching and moaning about my "faulty" 7850 it appears it may have been my psu all along :(
being a coolermaster 700w i didnt expect to have any issues running:
3570k
2 x 4gb ram
7850
256gb samsung 830
2 x spinpoint f4 2tb's
samsung blu-ray
and a couple of case fans

but after disconnecting my 2 mechanical drives the computer is a lot more stable, it has still crashed once but with the drives connected i can force a crash within a few minutes at will.

so i need to buy a new psu and with my water cooling loop going in soon and future expansion in mind i'm not sure what wattage to pick (calculators dont seem to take fans or pumps into consideration)

so here is my ideal spec and i want a bit of head room above that
3570k
2 x 7970 (have one in the post from ocuk other may be a future purchase)
12 gentle typhoons (10 push/pull on rads + 2 case fans)
2 d5 varios
2 spinpoint f4 2tb
2 samsung 830 ssd
optical drive
fan controller

I was looking at an 850w xfx but maybe the 1050w would be a better investment? from reading a 1050 should be overkill but so should a 700w for the rig i have now!

Cheers!
Wayne

thanks, budget isn't to much of an issue I'll pay as much as i need to for a quality PSU.
I am happy spending around £150 but if a ~£100 850w is going to do the job just fine and still be of sufficient quality i will go with that. likewise if i need to spend ~£200 so be it.

(sorry that doesn't really help does it lol )
