Hey everyone

Would appreciate any help on this problem that I have.

About a year back I bought my custom built pc of a friend that I am no longer in contact with and since hardware updates that I have made I would like to find out how powerful my psu is and what it is rated at. Now the thing is, inside the case on the psu there are no stickers or stamps whatsoever so I dont think I can find out physically.

Any Tips?

Thanks

Posting a picture would be your best bet.

If there are no stickers on the psu then it's a good chance that it's a garbage bargain basement jobby. Have you taken the psu out to see if there are any stickers on the top that is against the roof of the case?

Best advice would be to buy a decent brand psu asap.

I just checked the top of the case and you can just see 850w through the top grill. Never occured to me that it would be against the top of the case so thanks. I think it came with my Thermaltake Armour case so its a quality psu right?

Thanks for the help though.

mmm does sound dodgy. Take it out and see if you can see any brand names?

Normally the big brand ones are quite obvious
