does anybody have a spare or old string that u use to get it started they could post to me please ?

i've lost mine and am too newbish to get it going on my own :(

mail in trust i will cover postage via paypal if u so wish :)

Just learn to start it with your thumb, i lost both of mine on the first day of having it, lol.

Much handier if you can start them without.

email me your address and I'll pop one in an envelope tomorrow if you still need it.

I can never start it with my hand either.. funny thing is my friend who can start one with his hand couldn't start mine.

It's really far easier and quicker just to get it going by running it along a flat surface. It's so much effort to wind the string up and pull it :p

Although I didn't lose the strings that came with mine, the bits of plastic at the ends that are needed to keep it in the holes fell off. I remedied this by dipping the ends in glue (an epoxy like araldite works well, or anything else that goes hard).

I would imagine you can get a normal bit of string and do the same. I also noticed the other day that theres a website selling electric starters for powerballs.

Forget the string. Once you can start it with your hand you will never need to thread that damn end into the little hole ever again.

I use my thumb, or fingers.

For thumb, press down against one side of the ball/wheel, and whilst still applying force, flick your thumb across the ball and it will spin. May take a go or two to get the hang of it, but it's not too hard.

Alternatively, use your fingers held out straight, and chop across the face of the ball/wheel thing, making it spin. Two or three chops, and your away.

Honestly, it isn't that hard, just spend some time trying and you will get it before you know it.
