Hi,

I ordered a load of parts to build a new system and it included the Powercolor Ati 5770. I bought this specifically as i wanted to get 2 more monitors in the future to use the eyefinity.

Ive just noticed that on the back of the card it doesnt have the dual link dvis (2 dvis) and a displayport but it actually has a dsub, dvi and hdmi

That basically means im stuffed for eyefinity and certainly only limits me to 1 dvi monitor.

I think its going have to go back as its only 2 days old.

You have every right to return it if the product is sold not as advertised.

In the picture and the description it claims to have the ports you wanted so return it and get one that has them.

OcUK may need to update their PD if all of them (powercolor) are like that.

And they gave you the one with the limited connections and cheapass cooler as shown below..pff..send it back and demand the card you ordered.

Yeah thats the one. Im not happy to be honest as its just running around all the time to sort stuff out when it should be right in the first place. Ive always shopped at OCUK as they are local and spent in the region of £10,000 over the years and i can honestly say ive not had a single order that has been right, but as its local it suits me to use them rather that order online.

Hardly good customer service for people who have helped them move to a nice new shiny building.

PowerColor don't seem too fussed about making sure they ship the right cards. I bought a PowerColor 4850 a few weeks ago (not from OCUK) that was listed as having dual DVI and a Zalman cooler, but out of the box came a card with DVI/HDMI and an Arctic Cooling heatsink. Not a big deal for me as I had a DVI/HDMI adapter cable spare, but makes me want to avoid PowerColor in future.

Minor point, but dual-link DVI does not mean "two DVI sockets", it means a single DVI socket which is capable of handling twice the bandwidth of a regular DVI socket. This will be needed if you want to run a DVI connection at 2560*1600 resolution, or if you want 1920*1080 at 120Hz.

Another one for you....

Friend of mine bought the Club3D 4850 last week, described with:
- Display Connectors: 2 Dual-Link DVI-I, 1 HDMI & 1 DisplayPort

In the products picture it does indeed look like it has displayport etc.
Actually came with 1xDVI 1xHDMI and 1xD-Sub I think, will have to check with him.

I think on further investigation, we noticed that the card in the following products picture was the one which actually turned up.

A LOT of the cards on OcUK don't match up with their pictures, I bet this happens a lot but most people won't bother to return unless it directly affects their plans like the OP.

Hi,

Well ive taken it back now and instead got the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card .

First impressions , THIS CARD IS SILENT!!

In comparison to the other one it is totally silent in my case, where the other one seemed audible all the time.

Also this card is ther overclocking version so i will have a read up about that.

Happy again!
