Powerful Foobar skin

What resolution is your display? You could try the netbook skin included it works good for 4:3 and smaller resolutions.

I use Google for all my artwork and try to pick the best and biggest res, usually choose between 3 different ones. Tagging, try a program called TagNRename it's great.
 
Im on dual screen 1920*1080, but I was just trying to resize it so it could fit on my alt monitor with messenger and the likes, is there anywway to scale or remove the ratings dots?
 
Added a new playlist function. I don't know how I lived without it, I can now click highest rated and all my favourite songs queue up. Recently played, most played etc. I forgot how good foobar is playlist driven but needed a quick playlist launcher. Also made a Genre tab and moved artist view to library stack. Speeded up the cover panel. Only got green for now but I'll upload more colours soon.

I've downloaded foonate but I'm confused as to why there is a foobar 1.8 exe install and also foobar as a folder. If I install the exe then extract the foobar folder over it I get numerous errors.

I've also tried installing foobar 1.9, then columns ui, and then applying the foonate.fcl component but this gives errors and a list of missing plugins I need.

I've updated the links. Install 1.9 then just copy everything in the folder over.
I've made two different .flc files one for taskbar on the bottom and one for taskbar on the left.

If you have a resolution other than 1920x1080 you might want to adjust splitter settings like graphical browser and elplaylist. When I get time I'll make more resolutions over the weekend. 1024,1280,1050,1200, netbook etc.

You're welcome glad you like it :) Update coming tonight. Fixed quite a few things including the mini mode which works perfect now and added an album wall and new lyrics panel.

It looks great :) I'm having a problem with album art in your latest version though - it shows up properly in the middle album list but the large album art window on the left only ever shows the default white note symbol, any ideas?

Also, any chance of a 1680x1050 version? :D
 
Sounds like your images aren't named folder.jpg or they are embedded in the album art? If yours are named covers.jpg there is a variable that can be changed.

to

1680x1050 version no probs my friend has a 1680x1050 monitor, I'll update it soon :)

being the foobar nerd i am, i know this isn't true. some of the stuff here is well over 2 years out of date. you've also bundled core components which will most likely break foobar unless everyone is running the same version as you. you're also breaking the terms the foobar2000 license agreement by including them. and you should be able to handle window sizes dynamically and not have separate .fcl files.

and i haven't even tried it yet. expect more critique soon. :D
 
Fisk - I've uploaded your resolution version but it's only tested on a 1080 monitor in 1050 mode but I think it'll still work.
Mr - Krugga Damn I need to work out how to make it user friendly sizable/draggable.
marc2003 - They are two years out of date but that's the latest since. Which components have newer versions available? I was just about to take the core components out you're right thanks :p

Window sizes are a PITA to get just how you want them :(

For some reason the old version of your skin was just fine, it's only after updating with the 1920x1080 one that it all got scaled to that resolution.

I agree handling window size dynamically would be good if you can get that working (I'll usually run it at 1680 but my main monitor also runs at 2560x1440, and as I don't have a taskbar on my secondary monitor things don't quite line up for 1680 - very minor quibble I know! :D).

You're welcome :) Hmm I really need to sort out the padding settings to make it resizeable. Next thing to do then.

Nah that would bug the hell out of me lol I've made a no taskbar one now. Not sure if it will look right not tested it on a 1680 monitor yet.

*Edit I've got it to fit regardless of taskbar or window size just need to make it fit any screen now.

*Edit Can someone test this on a 2560x1440 screen please? I think I've cracked it
