powering mobo without CPU

by total mistake i booted up my pc without a cpu in the mobo. probably for around 10 seconds.

how bad is this?

not getting a new cpu for a bit so just wanted to know.

yea just done some research and I've spoken to people that have done it loads (why i dont know)

just had a bit of a freak out, im fine now.....inhale.........exhale and save.

lol i'm sorry but how'd you manage this? did you put the heatsink and all on? lol

nah my machine was sitting empty (no cpu or HS) and i'm fixing my mates, his sound card was playing up so without thinking i though i'll give it a try in mine lol.
