Hi all,

I’m looking to get Powerizers at some stage this week but as I’ve just found out they have new ones out which are about £200. I was looking to spend £150 max (inc postage) Anyone know a trusted site to get some? Apparently there are some phony Powerisers about. Also there are tones of the things with diffrent names ?!?!!

There are quite a few (probably) chinese built copies, which can be a bit wary, and I don't mean to discourage you but I know of a few people who've bought them and sold them quite shortly afterwards on ebay. Have you checked different marketplaces from individual sellers?

For most, they're quite a short life use product, and with that I'm guessing they'd depreciate down to £150 or less.
 
I've only checked online so far there is 1 place in my town which sells them but £250 which is a blatent ripoff.

As in short life do you mean they break easy?

anyone know if they bugger up ya knees n whatnot? :P
 
Short life as in 'bit of a fad', I know of about 4-5 people who've sold theirs to friends/on ebay later for a loss, they seem pretty rigid though.

I can't see them buggering up your knees too much unless you're mental on them, or use them for really long periods of time. They're fun, especially watching people who can't use them have a go :p
 
fair doo's :) then if they are solid then i might invest , gonna shop round no doubt ill have some hostility from the gf , its eaither these or new rollerblades :/

Yeah, thats not that uncommon, infact dislocating your knee is not that uncommon when you do flips etc.

Aye, on my first proper outing on them with Burnsy I badly bruised my ribs, twisted my knees and cut the crap out of my arms. That was with all the safety equipment on too. I was out of action for over a fortnight!

You WILL fall off and you WILL hurt yourself but believe me, it's worth it. They are a laugh :D

I might be getting rid of mine as I really can't afford to get injured again. What weight are you?
 
i have no idea :P i was 9 half stone last time i checked :D 7 years ago .. must be 10 + now

yeah its kind of put me off as ive had a record with my knees , I fractured my right knee + dislocated it 3 times and dislocated the left 4 times :D so tbh don’t think ill risk it , ive had a record few years of nothing going wrong. I've wanted some since i saw the Zurich advert ... :(
