Hi guys,

I have a powerline adapter kit with the main plug (plugs into router) and 2 extra ones. I only actually need the one.

If I got the main plug (router end) would it sync up with the second plug in a different location? I know you can buy another extender but its the extender I have and need the other end.

I currently live at a different address at the weekends.

Thanks

EDIT: ITS THE TP-LINK AV500 KIT

Yes. You just need to press the sync/pair button on the one already connected to the network, and the one you're introducing to the network within a few seconds of each other, which will then connect the new powerline to the rest.

Just need to find where I can buy the one adapter from now (its not the extender one). The end which plugs into the router via ethernet is the one I need

Just to make it a bit more clear - a powerline adapter will usually provide an ethernet port, and a powerline adapter with wifi will also include a built in access point. It doesn't matter which one is connected to the router.

How are your powerlines currently set up?
