Powerline Network Setup

Hello,

Having a bit of an issue in regards to a powerline network setup I have. I've recently moved my router (which, previously had a CAT5 direct from the BT Infinity Modem into the router).

The setup is as follows;

Dining Room - BT Infinity Modem, CAT5 into homeplug.
Bedroom 1 - BT HH3, CAT5 from homeplug into HH3. Computer connected by LAN to HH3
Bedroom 2 - Computer connected by homeplug.

In bedroom 2, the computer can no longer connect, any idea why? The setup before I moved it was;

Dining Room - BT Infinity Modem direct into HH3, HH3 into homeplug.
Bedroom 1 - Homeplug into PC
Bedroom 2 - Homeplug into PC2.

I assume that my having moved it has in fact altered the way it all connects?

Can I ask why you are using a router and a hh3? If you are using a router too check you have disabled dhcp as the hh3 will be handling dhcp services.

Apologies, by router I mean HH3! I'll edit my post for clarity's sake.

Daft question, are you getting internet access at all from any pc or wifi device? (not dismissing the fact you could be using phone or whatever to access web).
If you can, can you ping the HH3 from each pc?

Your HomePlug network is now on the WAN side of the router. You need to put the HH3 back by the modem and connect the HomePlug to the HH3's LAN side.

There isn't any way of getting it to work with the setup you have now.

simple fix is to move the HH3 back in with the openreach modem.

Thanks for the help all, yeah I've just reverted back to the previous setup and I'll have to buy a Wifi extender by the sounds of it! Bloody thick Victorian walls...
