powerpoint software

im looking for software for a client.

the company that we planned to use has gone bankrupt, so i need to find an alternative

the software in need produces sideshows (similar to powerpoint), but these could be scheduled to change at certain times (i.e. at 12pm, show a presentation which say the dinning room is open)

i know this could be achieved with task scheduling, but the solution needs to be more user friendly than this

any ideas

Openoffice - it has the same basic funtionality of Microsoft office, and is free. -it even opens up MS office files (even 2010)

And when he says OpenOffice, he means Libre Office. Well, I hope he does.

A scheduled task with Task Scheduler takes about a minute to set up. How is that not user friendly?

yeh, might be easy for the average joe, but the end users are generally going to be 65+ non computer literate, we want it to be as easy as it can be

expensive at £500 for what it does, but were not paying

LibreOffice no good then?
