Right, I'm off to Prague for a friends Birthday in Feb. 15-18th Feb 2007.

Looking for suggestions for hotels and good quality *cough* clubs etc :) Don't want to go too cheap, 4* hotel at least, but not too expensive as some people going are students.

Hotel needs to be in a nice central location, and any recommendations from the locals/people who have been there etc.. would be spot on :) Along with any general tips.

Buggy bar is cheap and nasty. (but in a good way!)
Goldfinger is very swanky, but I thought the girls there were a little plastic.

There's a huge club next to the Charles Bridge which was pretty good when I went a few weeks ago. It has a few different levels. There's also the Trilobite Bar just off the south east side of Muzeum which was awesome and cheap for a few quiet pints, and some great food.

Darling club

If thats the same place I went to last year, Darling Boom Boom I think was its full name, then I can vouch for them both being very good ;) :D Darlings moreso than Goldfingers.

We stayed in a hotel about 4 miles from the city centre but taxis are cheap and regular, plus its about 25p a pint outside the centre!

What was your hotel called? We were miles out too, but right next to a tube station.

We paid around 80p for a pint of Hoegarden near W. Square! :D

Considering it's £4/5 a pint in London I was amazed :D

Prague is not what it used to be after the flood wiping out most of the underground clubs, thats what I heard anyway from various people, hope im wrong though because I want to go there again :)

went there last year, would highly recommend Iron Door club if you like things a bit more indie/ underground. Also, don't go to the bars around Old Town Square they are probably the most expensive bars in the whole of Prague and IIRC there was one naff Irish-themed one next door to an equally naff English-themed one

Is that the one with a bar upstairs and a strip club downstairs?

I've not been in it but all my friends were raving about it, and its a family forum so I cant say much more ;)
