Whats Prague the city like?

Is there much to see and do?

Whats people's experiences of the city, and did you enjoy your time there.

Any help/feedback is much appreciated. :)

Plenty of sight seeing to be done and plenty of cheap bars.
Beautiful city and very light on the pocket if you stay away from the tourist traps.
I intend to go again very soon. :)

well depends on how long you're going for. If I'm going somewhere on a budget then I give myself €50 a day. If I'm splashing out on a weekend break then €100 a day.

Depends on what you plan on doing. Those amounts were for Irish/English/Amsterdam breaks. I assume Prague would be a bit cheaper.

Also I was talking about "Prague the city" as opposed to Prague the what?

Well I'm thinking of going for the week, but traveling by train to other cities. Possibly Dresden in Germany as well....

Are all the bars cheap, and do they accept the Euro or just the Krone?

Its quite nice, cheap as well. But i think there is a noticeable difference in quality and standard between the touristy areas and elsewhere.

But the buildings are very nice...you'll feel like your in an old Gene Hackman cold war spy film :D
btw - expect lots of graffiti though.

Yes lots, you should say for 3+ nights.

Well i have been living and working here for 5 years and still love it.

Vienna is not too far and the train is very cheap

How much does it cost on the train? :)

Is there any places you HIGHLY recommend?

I will find out how much the train is but prob around 10 pounds. Its a very nice city but I would not want to stay there for more than one day

Thanks,

I was looking at a website called 'My Czech Republic' and it had some train details on.

I was thinking of places that are within 2/3 hrs from Prague.

Biggest problem is far too many drunk British people and people advertising strip clubs. The city is ruined because of this.

The actual old town is really nice though. The old bridge, castle, Gothic cathedral, some of the small streets, small churches, etc. are all excellent and well worth the visit.

Prague really needs to crack down on the drunk people wandering the streets.

Goldfingers Casino

Ha, I remember a place called Goldfingers as well, dont remember the casino part though unless we thinking of two different places. :D

Darling Boom Boom's was also a place that sticks out in the memory also! ;)

Great city all in all though, even if your not going out there on a lads holiday.
