So I'm currently looking to completely rebuild my 7 year old rig, I've decided to go zen for my CPU. My question is though, should I get the 1080 Ti, bearing in mind that although I plan on adding an IPS panel monitor quite soon in the future (due to having them at work), should I wait till aftermarket vega 56/64's come out?

Planned usage: Gaming and some photoshop/3DS Max, video editing.

Thank you for the feed back. I'll give the parts you have pointed out a look. To be honest this is the first AMD machine I have ever put together, all my other rigs have been intel and nvidia.

I currently have a 1080p monitor, though I'm planning on upgrading this to a 1440 IPS panel.

So here is another basket. Including a 1440p monitor ( I know nothing about what makes a good monitor though, so advice here would be appreciated.)
