You could say on the listing that you only accept cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Dear God, don't accept a cheque, that's probably less reliable than PP.

I would only accept cash on collection.

You'd be mad to sell something like that on eBay - scammers delight. It will attract them like flies to poop. If it was me I'd only be selling in a person to person transaction such as gumtree or on one of the trustworthy photography forums, talkphotography maybe - I've bought before on their forums (although quite a while ago now) and thought they were pretty decently admined. But defo not eBay.

The obvious choice to sell is photography forums (Talk photography). There are others too, but i'd favour these over gumtree and ebay etc.

That's where I've always headed when dealing with photography gear.

I think you guys are right.. Especially with the disgusting 6 month PayPal reversal!
I've even heard having serial numbers doesn't stop a buyer sending you their broken item.

I hate ebay so much it's ****.

One of the items I sold went to a higher price - it was some vintage camera gear... because I'm idiotic and stupid I said I'd ship worldwide, so a chinese buyer went and won it - for a great price, but hasn't paid... looking through his feedback, half the positive feedback comments read "BEWARE, DOESN'T PAY" urgh...

I swear I'm killing my ******* ebay account and paypal account after this, the whole thing is rigged and ******* terrible to use...
