pre oc advice req..

Well it seems ok so far, but most people prefer to run p95 a bit longer. Some will say an hour or so, some at least 8 hours. Regarding your temps, ideally you should take a screenshot while p95 is still running as this will show what temps your geting at 100% load. also when running p95 in the advanced menu make sure error round off checking is enabled

EDIT:CPU 1, 3 and 5 got to test 3 but cpu 2 was still on test 1 - is this a potential flaw? does anyone know what this means? Please help - or will I only find out after priming for longer?

thanks for that...

as this was my first test and I am using the stick above I thought I would find out if its temporarily stable for 30mins before increasing the FSB to find the maximum FSB...

once I discover the max FSB I would prime for 8hrs for confirmation...

I have just increased the FSB with prime again and this time take a screenie of temps under load and ensure round off checking is enabled :)

thanks setter will report back in 30 mins :) wish me luck...

What can I change on my bios to try and have a better chance of acquiring 3.8ghz?

Please help guys..

Thanks

are my temps to extreme??

what should I not look to exceed?

also why does CPUZ fluctate from showing 3780 and 2560 as my core speed, it also flucutates the multi from x6 to x9??

The temps on 2 of your cores are above what most people try to avoid (75'c) i think the reason for prime95 failing may be down to needing to up the cpu voltage a bit. This will result in higher temps at load, id look to getting a more powerful fan on the cooler to help with the temps. The multi and clockspeed dropping will be down to intel speedstep (also known as c1e/eist) this can be disabled in bios to keep the multi from dropping.

i have upped the cpu voltage from 1.45 to 1.5 and am testing again...

I have a TRUE with xilence

I will disable c1e/eist in the bios...

Is there anything in the bios I have posted you can see that needs tweaking?

thanks for your advice..

hey guys...

here are my results after priming for over 10hrs

my results

So I am successfully at 3.6ghz does anyone want to help me try get it to 3.8ghz??

currently at 3.6ghz with

FSB - 400
multi - x9
cpu voltage - 1.45v

I have tried:-
420fsb
multi - x9
cpu voltage - 1.525v

but it failed...

I need to tweak the bios and don't know exactly what to tweak to get it there?? All advise would be appreciated...

Thanks
