Hi all, I pre-ordered my Wii at a big retail game shop with my £20 deposit, as they have started taken the deposits today and found out I am No 1 on the list for a Wii, so at least I know I will be head of the que if I am bursting for a Wii, though don't know if I can hold it that long :D

Of course, Wii comes pre-packed with Wii Sport game.

I think DeFrEaTs meant GAME as per the retail shop. GAME (or Gameplay) haven't started to take pre-orders online yet. I would hazard a guess that they are waiting for solid stock figures before they list the Wii for pre-order unlike many other retailers that have slung it up for pre-order to try and cash in.

Hi, yes this is Game. They were phoning the people on the pre-order list today in Cardiff, but I was in the store and paid my £20 deposit. We are allowed to mention Game and gamestation then, as I was afraid that they came under competitors and didn't want to upset the great staff on OCUK.

My boyfriend got a call about this today too, so I went and put down his deposit after dropping him off at work. No idea what position he is on the list, but I doubt there are many before him since it's a really small store.

pre ordered mine with on online retailer, no deposit needed, wish i knew if i was high up in the list hough :(

The thing is, the online retailers dont yet know how many they are getting, so you might have ordered with a online place that only has 10 coming in.

I cant see the same problems getting one you did with the 360 though, but im holding for gameplay when they get their stock confirmation.

I also got my call from GAME. They are taking deposits but only names as their barcode doesn't work yet. I preordered from Gamestation instead, though no one knows how many they are getting yet :)

I really hope I get it on launch day or it will be a very dissappointing 21st birthday in that sense hehe

By this time last year it had already been announced that there were going to be "stock problems" with the 360, as Microsoft weren't going to make enough in time. There have been no reported issues yet about the Wii.
