An HD 6950 is still a hugely powerful card, easily on par with 7850 and at this price makes it a superb deal. The stock is a one off though, I have only 200pc then that is it, no more ever from Club3D.

Awesome. Great to see these finally dropping, but wish had been a little quicker selling my Sapphire Toxic on. Am sure it's depreciating on a daily basis!

The cooler and pcb looks the same as the powercolor, are they the same just re stickered?
Cracking price though.
As a crossfire user i can vouch for the performance, easily maxes out bf3 and i mean max at 1080p keep a solid 60fps with vsync on. Maxed out skyrim aswell although there are slowdowns but i belive single gpus have that problem.

I havnt had any crossfire issue's some may remember a issue i had but that turned out to be a failing gpu!

If you already have one and cant afford the outlay for a gtx 680 or hd7970 then this will give you the same performance at nearly a 3rd of the price.

Mine unlocked, got lucky I guess?

Yeah. The article on Vortez was updated at a later date to reflect the new dies :(

First price gouging the 7950/7990s and now this... well done AMD :/

Not being funny mate but the last time Nvidia offered something for nothing (and they didn't do it on purpose) was with the 5900. You could flash on a bios and unlock it to ultra clock and spec.

However, it didn't really work because the card had a throttle* and so as soon as it got too hot it choked. After market cooling wasn't the big thing it is now either.

The 465 that Nvidia launched with the 1.2gb memory was a short lived thing too (you could flash them to 470) where as AMD have been really cool about this sort of stuff for years. Core unlocking on motherboards and so on, unlocking GPUs. Really giving their customers some nice Easter eggs.

* For a while Nvidia tried to outlaw overclocking on GPUs. ATI did also, by fitting a fuse that would pop and invalidate warranty. Then they both realised that if they tried to outlaw overclocking they would lose a ton of sales.

Quite simply because the enthusiast wants to push their hardware more than the makers will dare to. Not much has changed either.

Ohhhh Gibbo I nag at you to get some cheap 69xx series cards and you do so but a week before payday :( Cracking deal though. I guess I'm going to miss this one now but keep em coming. :)

You won't miss out.

We've not got many, but we don't think they will fly out.

It is a shame there is not more 69xx deals about, seems all the stock has gone at moment, though looking out for others, but right now Club3D did me a deal. Unfortunately all other brands either have no stock to offer or are holding their pricing due to having limited stocks.

So Club3D have done well, great card, better price. :)

lol i knew it, about 10 mins after placing my pre-order for the msi 7850

how does this card overclock compared to a 7850?

Sweet gonna upgrade my 5850 to one of these, only really looking for a nice of extra vram :) if this clocks to around 900mhz i'll be well happy

I'd take the 7850 over the 6950 personally.

Though the price on this 6950 is very good.
